Jessica Hull, Des Moines

Running and being active is a big part of who my family is. Both my parents were runners and during my moms battle with ovarian cancer she continued to go on hour long runs even after treatment and I thought if she can do it, I should do it. She passed away in 2010 and now that she can’t run I do my best to run for her and for myself. My workouts are my time in my day to have for myself and think of her. My father was a long time track and cross country coach who could run so fast in his day. After my mom died he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. my heart breaks that my husband and kids (3 and 11mo) will never know the parents I grew up with but My Reason lifestyle helps me show them a lot of who I am and who my parents were.
